Know someone that may benefit from our Services?

Orthotic devices can significantly benefit individuals by providing tailored support and improving overall mobility and function. Custom-fitted orthotic devices, such as braces, splints, and foot orthotics, are designed to address specific physical impairments, increase independence, and reduce pain. These devices help individuals achieve better posture & gait, ultimately promoting independence and reducing the risk of falls or injuries. By offering targeted support and rehabilitation, orthotists play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life and enabling individuals to engage in daily activities and community participation.

Frequently asked questions

Challenges Without In-Home or
Mobile Orthotics

At Amend Rehab, we aim to provide orthotic services to any individual that would benefit from them. Access to an orthotic facility is often the biggest barrier for individuals, so we aim to overcome that barrier by offering a completely mobile service.

  • Limited Access to Care: Many individuals requiring orthotic services may not live within convenient reach of a clinic or may have significant issues with mobility or transportation that limit their community access. This limitation can be due to living in rural or underserved areas, or simply due to the scarcity of available specialists. Without mobile services, these individuals face restricted access to the essential care they need, which can lead to worsening of conditions and reduced independence.

  • Transportation Stress: For many individuals and their families, transportation to and from appointments can be a major hurdle. This includes the logistical challenges of arranging transport, the physical and mental toll of traveling, and the financial cost associated with it. Mobile orthotic services eliminates these barriers by providing care directly at the participant’s home, making it a convenient and stress-free treatment.
  • Naturalistic Approach to Services: Traditional medical clinics can often be a very daunting and sterile location where individuals may not feel comfortable. By bringing therapy to their home environment, mobile services not only reduce the feeling of isolation but also allow therapists to work within the individual’s social context, allowing us to see the devices working in their day to day surroundings.
  • Customised Care:

Our mobile orthotist is committed to delivering personalised care tailored to each persons’ unique needs. This one-on-one approach not only fosters a stronger therapeutic relationship but also allows therapists to fully engage with the specific conditions and nuances of an individuals environment and daily life. This allows us to better fit and design devices to suit the individuals needs.

Mobile orthotic services address these critical challenges by making specialised care more accessible, consistent, and perfectly adapted to each individual’s circumstances. We are dedicated to ensuring that no one is left without the support they need to communicate effectively and confidently in their own homes and communities!
