She has huge amounts of knowledge and has a holistic viewpoint that she applies to her therapy sessions. She also doesn’t knock something down until she’s tried it which is a refreshing approach. Arabella Standish2024-07-10 I came across John quite by chance, exiting a meeting with the organisation who provide support workers to my son, Dom. John was kind and forthcoming about a great O.T. he had at Amend Rehab, the very professional and lovely Lisi, who happens to come from my neck of the woods. Dom has enjoyed his sessions with Lisi. She is both professional, engaging and really cares. Sarah has been part of Dom's team for a while now as his SLP Therapist... what a professional and amazing lady. She too is so positive and encouraging to Dom as a person and regarding his passion for the Big Rigs trucks These two ladies have moved Dom's therapies out into the community and I have every confidence in their work. I am so grateful for their time, patience and encouragement of Dom as he strives forward in the last 18 months of his school career. Their many kindnesses, not only to Dom but to me too are greatly appreciated. They are SIMPLY THE BEST👏Kudos Ladies. 🫶🙏John is incredible... I have no idea where he finds the time and can only put it down to his passion and genuine care for his clients... going so far as to offer assistance which he is under no obligation to do and even answering emails himself, instead of relegating the task to someone else. I have not met the entire team, but the ethos of John and his staff at Amend Rehab is of the highest standard and more importantly, genuine. Their care of you or your child comes from the heart. I will go so far as to say that choosing Amend Rehab for yourself or your child would be the smartest choice you could make. They are simply the best. Yes, we see the value in completing sessions at school and will do this when we can! However, each school has their own policies on therapy sessions held at school, which we adhere to. If you would be interested in school sessions, please confirm with your child’s school first.
Yes, physiotherapy can play a crucial role in managing pain for individuals with disabilities. Our physiotherapists are trained to assess and treat various types of pain through tailored exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and education on self-management strategies.
Our physiotherapists can assess your mobility needs and recommend appropriate aids or equipment to improve your independence and quality of life. We understand the importance of having a clinic space and are planning on opening a therapy clinic in the future! However, we do not have a clinic available as of now and are focusing on providing therapy in a naturalistic setting. In the meantime, we may be able to host an initial meeting in our office building, in Eight Mile Plains. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further.

Contact us with your NDIS plan, and we can help you understand your funding.
Access to consistent and effective physiotherapy is crucial for individuals living with disabilities, especially for those participants in the NDIS or persons with a Home Care Package. Without the option of in-home mobile physiotherapy in Brisbane, several significant challenges can arise, impacting the participant’s rehabilitation and overall quality of life.
Amend Rehab’s in-home physiotherapy sessions are meticulously designed to cater to the unique needs of each participant, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation and care. Here’s a closer look at what participants can expect during a session
Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the participant’s current condition, challenges, and progress. This allows the physiotherapist to tailor the session to address specific needs and goals effectively.
Based on the assessment, the physiotherapist will implement a set of exercises tailored to improve the participant’s mobility, strength, and independence. These exercises are designed to be safe, effective, and achievable within the participant’s own environment. Physios will work closely with the participant’s support team to ensure safe prescription and completion of a personalised home exercise program
Beyond exercises, sessions may include a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, massage, electrical situation (e-stim), and mobility training. These techniques are selected to alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and enhance overall physical function.
A key component of each session is education. Our physiotherapists provide valuable insights into the participant’s condition, offering advice on managing symptoms, preventing future injuries, creating meaningful goals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This educational support empowers participants to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
To ensure continuous progress, participants are provided with a customised home exercise program. This program is designed to complement in-session therapies and encourage daily practice, fostering independence and long-term improvements.
Regular sessions include monitoring and evaluation of the participant’s progress. This allows for adjustments to the therapy plan, ensuring that the participant remains on track to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
We believe in full transparency about our costs for services. Our general pricing is in line with NDIS pricing arrangements or Home Care Package budget, but we are always happy to negotiate pricing to tailor each case to our participants and provide the best possible care.
