Delivering mobile occupational therapy to NDIS participants across Brisbane, our skilled team offers targeted, individualised care right to your doorstep, emphasising the unique requirements of each participant to foster enhanced well-being and autonomy.
An Occupational Therapy Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) is an assessment for NDIS participants. It is used to provide an overview of a participant’s capacity to complete activities of daily living, including their current supports, met and unmet needs. Our OTs also provide clinical recommendations for reasonable and necessary supports based on this assessment, to facilitate the achievement of each participant’s NDIS goals
Our Occupational Therapists utilise a holistic approach to their therapy sessions. Occupational Therapy is a client-centred health profession that involves therapeutic use of everyday activities to enhance a participant’s ability to engage in daily activities and situations in home, school, workplace, community and other settings. The participants goals and abilities are at the forefront of our clinician’s mind, always being considered throughout the therapy process.

The absence of in-home mobile occupational therapy in Brisbane presents numerous obstacles, significantly affecting the rehabilitation process and overall life quality for individuals with disabilities.
Our extensive intaking process ensures participants are matched with the right OT, right from the start. We understand the challenges and frustrations that can arise from not having the right therapist, and how disruptive and distressing this can be to our participants. To minimise this, our in-home occupational therapy sessions are thoughtfully structured to meet the distinct needs of each NDIS participant, adopting a comprehensive strategy for rehabilitation and care. Participants can anticipate the following during their therapy sessions.
Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the participant’s current condition, challenges, and progress. This allows the occupational therapists to tailor the session to address specific needs and goals effectively.
Based on the assessment, the physiotherapist will implement a set of exercises tailored to improve the participant’s mobility, strength, and independence. These exercises are designed to be safe, effective, and achievable within the participant’s own environment.
Beyond exercises, sessions may include a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, massage, and mobility training. These techniques are selected to alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and enhance overall physical function.
A key component of each session is education. Our physiotherapists provide valuable insights into the participant’s condition, offering advice on managing symptoms, preventing future injuries, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This educational support empowers participants to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
To ensure continuous progress, participants are provided with a customised home exercise program. This program is designed to complement in-session therapies and encourage daily practice, fostering independence and long-term improvements.
Regular sessions include monitoring and evaluation of the participant’s progress. This allows for adjustments to the therapy plan, ensuring that the participant remains on track to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
We believe in full transparency about our costs for services. Our general pricing is in line with NDIS pricing arrangements, but we are always happy to negotiate pricing to tailor each case to our participants and provide the best possible care.
